# What a Contacts Manager can see and do

> The Contacts Manager role lets clients and sales teams work with leads without changing your funnels.

Contacts Manager is a results only role, made for clients and sales teams who need to handle leads without touching the funnel setup. Your funnels stay safe, and the person gets the data they need. Contacts Managers do not use a [team seat](/workspaces/team-seats).

To give someone this role, see [Invite a teammate or client](/workspaces/give-access).

## What a Contacts Manager sees

* **Their workspaces only:** After signing in, **Your workspaces** lists only the workspaces they were added to. They can switch only between those.
* **A read only funnel list:** Inside a workspace they see **Your role here** with the **Contacts Manager** badge. There is no **"Create Funnel"** button and no menu to edit or delete funnels.
* **The Leads page:** Clicking a funnel opens its leads. They do not see the editor. The tabs **Leads**, **Analytics** and **Activity** are at the top.

## What they can do with leads

* **Update a lead's status:** Move leads through your pipeline, for example from **CONTACTED** to **MEETING** to **CONVERTED**.
* **Add notes:** Write internal comments on a lead to track your conversation.
* **Search and filter:** Find people with the search box and filters.
* **Export:** Download leads as CSV or Excel. See [Export your leads](/leads/export-contacts).

## What they can see in Analytics and Activity

* **Analytics:** How many visitors become leads, and where traffic, devices and countries come from. See [Funnel analytics](/analytics/funnel-analytics).
* **Activity:** New leads, status changes and notes. See [Activity log](/analytics/activity-log).

## Important to note

<Warning>
  * A Contacts Manager cannot create, edit, publish or delete funnels. They cannot invite people or open **Members**, which is for Global Admins. They cannot open workspace settings such as domains or senders.
  * They cannot see workspaces you did not add them to.
</Warning>
